Uzbekistan's Average Monthly Salary Surges 17.2%
In 2023, the average monthly salary in Uzbekistan is projected to be 4,551,000 soums, showing a 17.2% increase from 2022, as reported by the Statistics Agency.
The highest average monthly nominal wages were observed in Tashkent city, Navoi, Tashkent, Andijan, and Bukhara regions throughout January-December last year. Significant wage growth was noted in Ferghana (19.1%), Jizzakh (18.1%), Khorezm (18%), Samarkand (17.8%), and Tashkent (18.1%).
The top sectors in terms of monthly salaries in 2023 include finance and insurance, with the highest average salary at 13,323,000 soums. Following closely are the information and communication sector (10,602,000 soums), the transport and storage sector (6,937,000 soums), and the industry sector (5,622,000 soums).
In contrast, the education sector has an average monthly salary of 3,123,000 soums, while the healthcare and social services sector has one of the lowest, at 3,000,000 soums.
