Uzbekistan's trade with EAEU grows 11.8% in 2024
Uzbekistan's trade relations with the EAEU from January to October 2024 show significant growth. The EAEU celebrated its 10th anniversary on May 29, 2024. Uzbekistan has held observer status in the EAEU since 2020 and ranks first among trade partners from CIS countries that are not EAEU members. In the first eight months of 2024, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with EAEU member states increased by 11.8% to $14.4 billion. This includes $4.8 billion in exports and $9.6 billion in imports. Trade with Russia reached $9.7 billion, a 22.2% increase, with exports at $3.1 billion and imports at $6.6 billion. Trade with Kazakhstan totaled $3.4 billion, with $1.1 billion in exports and $2.3 billion in imports. Trade with Kyrgyzstan amounted to $676 million, with exports at $445 million and imports at $231 million. Trade with Belarus was $582 million, a 14.6% increase, with $134 million in exports and $449 million in imports.
