Trading At Tashkent Republican Stock Exchange May 14 - 18

During the period of May 14-May 18, 32 deals were concluded, in which 125.5 thousand shares of 24 joint-stock companies were sold for the total of Soums 57.4 mln.

As compared to preceding week all indices went up. The biggest increase was in the quantity of shares traded in the deals - by 1095.2%, deals value increased by 206.9%, the number of joint-stock companies whose shares were dealt with grew by 166.7%, the number of deals by 128.6.

During the period from May 14 to May 18 16 deals on the purchase and sale of 92.1 thousand shares of 9 joint-stock companies totaling soums 24.7 mln were struck in the secondary market. These deals, most of them involving joint-stock companies of Ferghana province, accounted for 43.1% of the total number.

Average daily trade turnover during the period May 14- May 18 reached Soums 11.5 mln in each trading session (Soums 4.7 mln in the preceding week).

In the special trading space allocated for the sale of shares for freely convertible currency average offers totaled US $12.7 mln (US $12.9 mln the preceding week). In the secondary market at the close of the last trading session on May 18 the offers totaled Soums 548.1mln for 523.5 thousand shares of 145 JSC's. The demand was Soums 22.2 M for 31.6 thousand securities of 10 JSC's.

Tashkent composite stock index (Tasix) for May 14- May 18 was an average 64.5 (250.2 in the preceding week).

The biggest deal was concluded on 16 May: 20.7 thousand shares of joint-stock company "Syrdare Vino" of Syrdarya province were sold for the total of Soums 20.0 mln . Most deals were reached in JSC's of Syrdarya province : 36.1% of the total. JSC's of Ferghana province accounted for 25.8% of deals volume and Surkhandarya region –for 10.8%.
