Central Bank leaves refinancing rate unchanged at 16%
During the first 7 months, inflation processes in the economy developed according to the basic scenario, in connection with which the annual growth rate of consumer prices was within the forecast parameters of 13.5-15.5%.
The Board of the Central Bank has made a decision to leave the refinancing rate unchanged at 16% per annum. This was reported by the press service of the regulator.
This decision of the Central Bank is based on the continuing dynamics of inflation and inflation expectations, the emergence of one-time inflation shocks.
During the first 7 months, inflation processes in the economy developed according to the basic scenario, in connection with which the annual growth rate of consumer prices was within the forecast parameters of 13.5-15.5%.
However, in the third quarter, certain inflation risks envisaged in alternative scenarios were realized, which led to an acceleration of inflation in the considered time period.
