Uzbekistan to host AFC U-23 Cup
The AFC U-23 Cup has been held since 2013. Since then, the winners of the main prize have been the youth teams of Uzbekistan, South Korea, Japan and Iraq.
Uzbekistan will host the Asian Football Cup Under-23 in 2022. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA).
"The UFA has sent a request to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to host the 2022 Asian U-23 Youth Championship in Uzbekistan. The necessary documents were submitted to the AFC and negotiations were held. As a result, the AFC agreed to host the competition in Uzbekistan, " the statement reads.
