Uzbekistan U-23 Soccer Team Dominates Hong Kong with 10-0 Victory
Uzbekistan's national youth soccer team secured a victory against Hong Kong in the U-23 Asian Cup group stage, winning 10-0. The match took place on September 9 in Tashkent.
Husain Norchayev once again scored a hat-trick (in the 6th, 59th, and 69th minutes). Ulugbek Khoshimov, another striker, netted three goals in a remarkable 10-minute span (in the 83rd, 88th, and 90+3rd minutes). Abbosbek Fayzullaev (in the 25th minute), Alisher Odilov (in the 28th minute), and Umarali Rakhmonaliev, who scored from a penalty kick (in the 57th minute), contributed to the victory. Additionally, Hong Kong defender Man Yip Chek scored an own goal.
This impressive win has allowed head coach Timur Kapadze's team to secure the top spot in Group E with six points. Iran secured the second position with the same number of points by defeating Afghanistan 4-0. Afghanistan and Hong Kong are currently in the third and fourth positions, respectively.
