Ambassador of Pakistan Syed Ali Asad Gillani is completing his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyar Saidov received Syed Ali Asad Gillani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

Parties emphasized the importance of implementing the agreements reached between Uzbekistan and Pakistan within the framework of high-level and high-level events.

The Ambassador thanked Bakhtiyor Saidov for his participation in the international conference on Pakistan held in Geneva. He also noted the effective results of the regular meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization member states in Tashkent.

As noted, the main direction of cooperation with Pakistan is the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation, and this area has become significantly more active in recent years. In particular, in 2022, the volume of trade increased by 131%, the number of joint ventures reached 200.

The MFA leadership highlighted the successful completion of the three-year activity of Mr. Ambassador in our country and expressed gratitude for his personal contribution to the development and strengthening of the strategic partnership between our countries.

Syed Ali Asad Gillani also expressed gratitude for all the support provided in his work as the head of the diplomatic mission of Pakistan in Uzbekistan.
