First Deputy Minister of MFA receives USAID Mission Director
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Furkat Siddikov received the Director of the mission of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Michaela Meredith. The meeting discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and USAID, and issues of implementation of priority programs and projects.
Meredith confirmed the firm commitment of USAID to assist the republic in the implementation of the tasks outlined in the Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.
The positive results of the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in the areas of modernization of the public administration system, and economic liberalization was noted. The sides exchanged views on the planned visits and joint events.
