Powers and tasks of National Guard to be approved by law
Member of the Senate Boymatjon Rasulov noted that the Law is designed to determine the status, powers, tasks and functions of the National Guard, as well as to consolidate the law enforcement nature of its activities. According to the Law, the National Guard is a Law Enforcement Agency with military formations that are part of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the plenary session, the Senators considered the Law "On the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

According to the Law, the National Guard is a Law Enforcement Agency with military formations that are part of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In particular, the main tasks of the National Guard are participation in ensuring public order and security, including during mass events, rallies, meetings, demonstrations, as well as participation in the elimination of natural and man-made emergencies, participation in patrolling public places in settlements in order to prevent, detect and suppress offenses.
