Shavkat Mirziyoyev to attend extraordinary summit of Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States
In accordance with the agenda, the parties will exchange views on the ongoing priority measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Today, on April 10, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in an extraordinary summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States, which will be held in the format of a videoconference and will focus on coordinating common efforts in the fight against the spread of coronavirus.
The summit is convened on the initiative of the Azerbaijani side that chairs the organization. The event will see the heads of five member states of the Turkic Council-the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Hungary.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization, is also expected to join the videoconference.
