Uzbek president visits New Uzbekistan University construction site
On April 18, Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the construction site of the New Uzbekistan University.
In accordance with the presidential decree dated June 23, 2021, the New Uzbekistan University was founded. The document defined the tasks for allocating 30 hectares of land plot for the university, developing and building a modern educational campus with the involvement of foreign specialists.
The university that will be erected on Durmon Yuli Street in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of the capital is developed jointly with the Turkish company Outdoor Factory hat is commissioned to construct educational buildings for 5 faculties, an administrative building, a hostel for teachers and students, a canteen, a library, a laboratory, a sports palace and a stadium.
The area is currently home to the Presidential School. In the future, the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions will also be located here. Thus, an integrated educational complex will appear on this site.
The head of state instructed to carry out construction work with high quality, to reflect the activities and heritage of our great scientists in the educational buildings, and to create comfortable conditions for the study and movement of young people.
