Uzbekistan establishes licensing procedure for military equipment production

The procedure for licensing the production of military equipment and weapons in Uzbekistan has been established by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers. More details about the decision in the following report.

The regulation outlines the steps for obtaining licenses for various activities, which include the production of weapons and ammunition, protective and military equipment, as well as their spare parts and components, specifically for military purposes. Additionally, licenses are required for activities related to the creation, production, repair, and sale of materials and special equipment, along with the liquidation and processing of released military-technical equipment.

The Defense Industry Agency has been assigned as the authority responsible for granting these licenses. To apply for a license, a legal entity must submit a set of relevant documents to the Agency through the State Field Service.

The review period for the application is set at 20 days, with a fee of 2 times the BCA for the review process and 5 times the BCA for issuing the license. Once the submitted documents meet the required criteria, the Agency commission will decide on granting the license.

Notably, the licenses issued for these activities do not have a limited validity period.
