Uzbekistan supplies school shoes to the USA
During the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in the United States, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, called for expanding trade ties between the two countries. He urged American brands to invest in Uzbekistan and produce leather and footwear items labeled "Made in Uzbekistan." Several agreements and contracts were signed during this event.
One notable contract was signed with "Classica Shoes International," a company based in the Andijan region, known for its "KFK" brand. This company is a member of the "Uzcharmsanoat" association. They also reached an agreement with "YNK," a US-based company specializing in supplying school uniforms and shoes for students from 1st to 12th grade in American schools. YNK has gained trust among US schools for its high-quality clothing and shoes made from 100% cotton and natural leather. As a result, US schools regularly place substantial orders with this company.
The Uzbek enterprise secured an export contract with YNK for the supply of 35,000 pairs of school shoes in 2024, with a total contract value of approximately $500,000. This initial agreement is expected to pave the way for increased exports from Uzbekistan to the United States in the future. As per the terms of the contract, the local Uzbek enterprise will commence supplying its products starting in 2024.
