Uzbekistan to open 'Turon Association' in Boston
During the visit of Ambassador Furkat Siddikov of Uzbekistan to Boston, Massachusetts, a meeting was held with local Uzbek residents to inaugurate the "Turon Association." The association's objectives include preserving Uzbek culture, promoting it to the public, and organizing educational events. Additionally, the "Ildiz" online platform was presented, targeting Uzbek professionals in Boston and its environs.
A cultural evening, in anticipation of Navruz, involved both Uzbek and American attendees, including scholars from Harvard University. Videos showcasing Uzbekistan's tourism, cuisine, cultural traditions, and socio-economic progress were featured. The participants expressed their commitment to fostering bilateral cooperation, cultural and scientific exchanges, and enhancing Uzbekistan's image in the USA.
