Angren Schools Implement “Phoneless School” Policy

The introduction of a "Phoneless school" system in Angren schools was proposed during an open dialogue led by the mayor of the Tashkent region in February. This proposal aimed to restrict the use of telephones in educational institutions. The Cabinet of Ministers made a clear decision on this matter, titled "On measures to regulate the use of mobile phones in educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

To ensure compliance with this decision and proposal, the "Phoneless school" system was implemented in the 13th and 17th general schools of Angren. This initiative aimed to redirect students' focus towards acquiring knowledge imparted by teachers.

Furthermore, a meeting between the parents' monitoring board and the school administration was convened to discuss this proposal. During the meeting, it was agreed upon to prohibit phone usage entirely within the educational institution.
