Banking sector tops salary rankings in Uzbekistan
Representatives of banks and some other industries have the highest salaries in Uzbekistan, while education and healthcare workers earn the least. This information comes from a review by the Statistics Agency.
In the first half of this year, the average monthly salary in Uzbekistan was 5 million 92 thousand soums. The highest average salary was in Tashkent city (8.4 million soums) and Navoi region (6.6 million soums).
The highest average monthly salary in the country was 14.4 million soums, for jobs in banking, insurance, leasing, credit, and brokerage activities. Representatives of the information and communication sector earned an average of 12.4 million soums, transportation and storage workers earned 7.7 million soums, and those in the industry sector earned 6.2 million soums.
Education workers earned an average of 3.5 million soums, while those in healthcare and social services earned 3.3 million soums, which is lower than other sectors.
