Bukhara Digitizes Over 60,000 Streets on Electronic Map
More than 60,000 streets in Bukhara were included in the electronic map. According to the law, a state register is maintained for registering the names of geographical objects. The cadastral agency enters the names of geographical objects into the state register as per the law. The Bukhara Regional Department of the State Cadaster Chamber, as a member of the Commission on Naming and Renaming of Geographical Objects under the Bukhara Regional Government, is responsible for this task. Mirshod Haydarov, an expert of the Bukhara Regional Department of the State Cadaster Chamber, mentioned that necessary measures are being taken.
In 2023, the department and its branches will display 60,178 streets in 544 neighborhoods on electronic maps. These streets will be categorized according to the established order and included in the "Uniform Register of Addresses of Real Estate Objects" based on the established plan. Naming and renaming of geographical objects are carried out by regional commissions, and approved by the decision of the Regional Council of People's Deputies after a state expert examination. According to the law, bodies responsible for naming geographical objects and changing their names must submit relevant documents to the Cadastre Agency within ten days.
