Editor-in-chief of UZREPORT TV addresses conference in Pakistan within "One belt, one road" initiative

“One belt, one road” conference was held in the capital of Pakistan on December 17. The event was organized by the Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS).

The conference saw representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Belarus, Uzbekistan, as well as more than 200 local companies.

The chief editor of UzReport TV channel, Muzaffar Ismailov, addressed the conference. In his speech, he informed the participants about the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in the field of media, about the legislation in this area.

"The Republic of Uzbekistan pays special attention to the media sphere. Over the past 3-4 years, a number of foreign agencies, as well as international organizations such as the OSCE, have appreciated the reforms of our country in the field of freedom of speech, " Muzaffar Ismailov said.

The delegates also attended meetings and briefings at the Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Center of Excellence for CPEC and other institutions.

During his visit to the Uzbek Embassy in Pakistan, Muzaffar Ismailov, on behalf of UzReport TV  signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CGSS, providing for the establishment of friendly relations, exchange of content and experience.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, Furkat Sidikov shared his views on the relations between the two countries.

"In January-November of this year, the trade turnover between the countries reached $106.2 million. The volume of exports has tripled since last year. If in 2018 goods worth $32.4 million were exported from Uzbekistan, during the reporting period of this year this figure amounted to $84 million By the end of the year it is planned to overcome the mark of $100 million Currently there is a huge potential for establishing partnerships between entrepreneurs of the two countries," Furkat Sidikov said.
