Government supports needy individuals to purchase prosthetic devices
New legislation has been approved that will be effective from May 1. According to that, the state will increase funding for needy individuals to purchase prosthetic devices and rehabilitation aids.
On average, this increase will be up to three times the current amount, and for certain types of devices, it will be up to ten times. People with disabilities can obtain prosthetic and rehabilitation devices based on their disability certificate without needing an additional medical report.
For elderly individuals without a disability classification, their need for prosthetic and rehabilitation devices will be recorded in the electronic system called "Medico-social expertise."
