Nordic students stage “Hedgehogs without Thorns”
Sharof Boshbekov’s story Hedgehogs without Thorns is one of the works dedicated to the lives of children and teenagers—their dreams, worldview, and challenges. Members of the Nordic Students’ Theater Studio at the Abror Hidoyatov Uzbek State Drama Theater masterfully staged the piece.
The play presents the lives of four children from four different families, exploring the issues that trouble them and the consequences of their parents’ mistakes on their futures.
The students prepared for the play over the course of three months. During this time, they received training from experienced directors and actors.
The performance encouraged the audience to think and reflect on themselves. Through light humor and sharp scenes, it portrayed various social injustices, school-related challenges, and the emotional world of teenagers. Amidst complex life situations, the play promoted values such as friendship, honesty, courage, and kindness.
These young actors stepped onto a major theater stage for the first time, using their talents to promote human values to the audience. For reference, this creative evening was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
