Senators reject law on engagement of citizens in public order protection
The senators were unanimous in the opinion that the text of the Law is incomplete and it doesn`t reflect exact mechanisms for implementing the planned measures.
Another issue included in the agenda of the fifth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis was the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On engagement of citizens in the public order protection ".
The senators were unanimous in the opinion that the text of the Law is incomplete and it doesn`t reflect exact mechanisms for implementing the planned measures.
In particular, article 7 of the Law stipulates that when citizens participate in the protection of public order, they cooperate with bodies and institutions directly involved in the prevention of offenses. However, the Law does not reflect their powers, rights and obligations.
However, there are no issues related to the register of persons involved in the protection of public order and the activities of the bodies that carry it out. Article 8 of the Law does not fully reflect restrictions on the participation of citizens in the protection of public order.
