Tashkent opens new 3-level overpass
The new route would also reduce the distance between Tashkent and Chimgan mountains by 22 km.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev has inspected overpass erected at the intersection of the Akhangaran Highway and Makhtumkuli Street. The project which was started in 2018 and completed this year, was initiated in a prospect of creating better infrastructure in the region and address the growing traffic concerns.
This 6 lane overpass is at an intersection with a 0.5 km length tunnel. With this new highway, roughly 20 thousand cars will be accommodated compared to previous 7 thousand. The new route would also reduce the distance between Tashkent and Chimgan mountains by 22 km.
