The first place in the rating was taken by the city of Lahore in Pakistan, whose concentration of PM2.5 particles is 180 μg/m2. The Indian city of Delhi is in 2nd place – 173 μg/m³. Yangon (Myanmar), Hanoi (Vietnam), Karachi (Pakistan), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Chiang Mai (Thailand), Calcutta (India), Tehran (Iran) also occupied the top ten in the ranking.
According to the World Health Organization, PM2.5 poses the greatest threat to health among air pollution indicators.
On February 21, Tashkent took first place in the list of cities with the most polluted air in the world.
