Tashkent Region Adopts Water-Saving Tech in Agriculture

Water-saving technologies will be introduced in agriculture in the Tashkent region. The governor, Zoyir Mirzayev, has signed a decision to ensure the rational and efficient use of water resources.

Drip irrigation will be used on 11,250 hectares, sprinkle irrigation on 17,315 hectares, and discrete irrigation technologies on 2,600 hectares. Additionally, land leveling with laser levelers will be organized on 12,174 hectares.

A working group will be formed, and special training courses called "Water School" will be organized to increase the knowledge and skills of agricultural producers.
