Uzbek government to encourage physical training of population through benefits
Uzbekistan aims to introduce a system for assessing the level of physical fitness of the population. Starting from August 1, citizens with the best performance will be awarded the "Level of Physical Fitness" badge.
According to a document signed by the president, physical fitness tests will be held voluntarily among citizens aged from 7 to 70. They will consist of 15 types of exercises. Depending on the place and level, participants will be awarded sports titles and categories in 11 age categories. Also, those who successfully pass the tests will be awarded the "Level of Physical fitness" badge.
Also, depending on the age, a number of benefits are provided for a period of 1 year:
- a discount of 50% of the military service fee is paid to the mobilization reserve and is sent to military service as a priority;
- the winners who meet the special requirements (I place) will be accepted to the" School of Temurbeks " out of competition and without testing;
- free one-time in-depth medical examination in a state district (city) multidisciplinary medical institution;
- the winners who meet the special requirements (first place) will receive the right to free travel in public transport and preferential travel with a 50% discount on interregional transport (except for taxis, including minibuses);
- placement of children out of turn in school, kindergarten, as well as in summer health camps;
- employees of all state bodies and organizations are provided with free passes to recreation centers and sanatoriums at the expense of the workplace;
- exams that require physical training for admission to work or study in the country (except for sports in higher educational institutions) have priority in tests, practical classes (maximum score on the exam or exemption from practical classes).
