Deliver violators from the place of detention to the department soon will not. By a government decree of July 22, the procedure for conducting electronic identification of citizens in public places by employees of the PPS departments of internal affairs was approved.
From January 1, 2023, the E-patrol system will be gradually introduced, and the practice of bringing a citizen to the police department to establish his identity will be canceled.
All data will be checked electronically, and the activity of the patrol officer will be recorded on the "body camera".
According to the Regulation, employees can stop a citizen and identify him with the help of identity documents or the E-Patrol system in the following cases:
- if there are grounds to suspect that the person has committed a crime or offense or is on the wanted list;
- when a person can be considered aware of a crime or offense committed;
- if there are other legal grounds for detaining a person.
When stopping a person, an employee is obliged to explain the reasons and grounds for stopping him.
A citizen who does not have an identity document with him is delivered to the internal affairs body in the following cases:
- when his identity cannot be established using the tablet;
- when identifying wanted or missing persons;
- with resistance in the process of clarifying the identity;
- when detained at the time of committing an offense in a public place.
