Uzbekistan Increases Mobile Device Registration Limit to Two
As per the government's decision on October 26, changes have been made to how mobile devices are registered when brought into Uzbekistan for personal use or sale. Individuals can now register two mobile phones brought from abroad without paying customs fees, whereas previously, only one phone was allowed for registration.
A new online biometric identification system (Face-ID) has been introduced for registering phones in the UzIMEI system. Foreign visitors in Uzbekistan on business or tourism can now use their mobile devices for up to 60 calendar days without registration, extended from the previous limit of 30 days.
