Uzbekistan Launches PISA-Ready Platform for Students

A new platform is set to launch in PISA research to analyze the knowledge of Uzbek students, offering recommendations. Collaborating with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, model questions in Uzbek, Karakalpak, and Russian have been posted on the OECD website. This enables students to test their knowledge.

Under the guidance of the Minister of Preschool and School Education, Hilola Umarova, a critical-analytical meeting took place on PISA-2022 results, education quality improvement, enhancing pedagogical skills, and preparing for PISA-2025.

At the event, regional department heads presented the 2023 results and outlined projects for the next year. An analytical presentation of PISA-2022 results followed, analyzing Uzbek students' performance regionally and offering necessary recommendations.

Hilola Umarova emphasized the need to prepare for the 2025 research now. A working group, comprising foreign experts and local specialists, was formed to develop "road maps" for each district section based on their recommendations. This aims to better prepare teachers and students and improve results.

The Ministry announced the upcoming launch of a special platform for PISA research. It will solicit proposals and recommendations from regions for further enhancement, as per information from the National Research Institute named after Abdulla Avloni.
