Uzbekistan streamlines registration for family guest houses and campsites
Family guest houses, hostels, and camping sites in Uzbekistan can now be registered through Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services. The government approved regulations for the organization of activities in this regard.
A family guest house provides temporary accommodation and food services for up to 10 visitors simultaneously. This happens by living together with the host family in the guest house or in a private housing facility with a living area of 3 square meters per resident.
To organize these activities, establishments must be entered into the Register maintained by the Tourism Committee, and an extract from the Register is issued. Conditions for organizing guest houses, hostels, grass, and tent camps must be met, as listed in the regulations. The administrative regulations for providing public services for inclusion in the Register have also been approved.
To apply for inclusion in the Register, interested individuals can apply in person at the state service center or register through Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services. The applicant fills out a questionnaire and attaches the required documents.
Territorial divisions of the tourism committee will review the documents within 3 working days from receipt, and a document will be prepared on the study's result. The public service is provided free of charge.
