Uzbekistan to receive 2.6 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine under COVAX

Uzbekistan will receive 2.6 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine as part of the global COVAX program. The vaccine will cost approximately $3 per dose.
It is planned that the supply of the vaccine will begin by the end of the first quarter, and the bulk will be delivered by the middle of this year. It is a vector vaccine. The principle of operation of vector vaccines is that they contain a weakened harmless virus and a new type of coronavirus gene.
