Uzbekistan unveils high-speed internet tariff plan for education sector
According to the presidential decree, starting from January 1, 2024, based on the number of students in general secondary education institutions, the tariff plan "New Education" will be introduced in the educational organizations of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
In this:
- based on the number of children in educational institutions, the Internet speed volumes of the "New Education" tariff plan will be determined;
- in secondary educational institutions with up to 400 students, the Internet speed will be at least 40 Mbit/s, in those with more than 400 students - at least 100 Mbit/s;
Monthly subscription fees for high-speed packages in the "New Education" tariff plan will be determined based on the exclusion of nighttime internet usage by educational organizations.
