Uzbekistan's Divorce Rates Surge in 2023

In Uzbekistan, the average age for divorced men is 37, and for women, it's 32.9 years. From January to September 2023, 184,461 marriages were registered, with 37,654 ending in divorce. The average age for married individuals was 22.5 for women and 27.3 for men. Most marriages were among women under 25.

Comparing 2023 to 2020, the number of divorces increased by 17,700, reaching 37,700. 60.3% of divorces occurred in urban areas, while 39.7% were in rural regions. Around 50.7% of divorces were childless, with 27.2% involving one child, and 22.1% involving two or more children.
