Uzbekistan wins silver at CAFA Women's Futsal Championship
The CAFA Women's Futsal Championship 2025 was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, with teams from Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan competing. Uzbekistan's women's futsal team lost to Iran in the first round but secured victories against Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
In their final match, they drew with Kyrgyzstan. As a result, Uzbekistan finished in second place, winning the silver medal. Iran claimed gold, while Kyrgyzstan took bronze. This was the fourth edition of the tournament, previously hosted by Tajikistan in 2022 and 2024 and by Uzbekistan in 2023. Iran has won all three past tournaments, with Uzbekistan finishing as the runner-up each time. Kyrgyzstan has now earned bronze twice, while Tajikistan secured it once.
