Uzbekistan launches CubeSat scientific and educational satellite in space

On April 26-27, Uzbekistan hosted the international space community for the second time. Uzbekistan has become a meeting place for representatives of more than 250 space corporations, agencies, and committees from more than 30 countries.

The agenda of this international conference, organised by Uzbekcosmos, was international cooperation and investment, security, finance, regulation of the space sector, new satellite technologies, global trends in the New Space industry, Geoinformation technologies, remote sensing of the Earth, artificial covered topics such as satellite communications.

The main purpose of holding this conference was to create a regional platform for the space industry, exchange experience with foreign agencies and companies on the development of the space industry, to learn about the regulatory standards of foreign countries for attracting the private sector to the industry, exchange of ideas on learning, assistance in the organisation of the personnel training system, and familiarisation of the relevant ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan with the experience of using space technologies in the economic, social, and military spheres.

Leaders and officials of leading space agencies from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Monaco, the United Arab Emirates, the USA, Turkey, and other countries participated in the Central Asian space technology conference in Tashkent.

As part of the event, it was announced that the development and launch of the CubeSat scientific-educational satellite in Uzbekistan are planned within the framework of the cooperation memorandum signed between the Uzbekcosmos agency and the Innovation Development Agency.

The main goal of this project is to create the necessary capacity for the creation, assembly, launch, and future satellite management.
