“Uzbekistan” pavilion opens in China
On November 23, the "Uzbekistan" pavilion opened in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The Tourism Committee reported the event.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized sending tourism experts to Chinese provinces to promote regions like Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, Surkhandarya, and Fergana valley. He stressed the need for direct air services between Chinese cities and these Uzbek destinations.
A replica of the Registan ensemble, representing Samarkand, was built on a 10,000-square-meter area in the pavilion. This is expected to boost the country's tourist appeal.
The "Uzbekistan Garden" symbolizes the long-standing friendship between Uzbekistan and China. It is anticipated to become a favorite spot for local residents and city guests. Umid Shodiev stated that the park, along with Xinjiang-Uyghur Autonomous Region, will be a significant venue for cultural, humanitarian, and tourist events.
