EBRD invests $2.8mn in medical glove production in Uzbekistan
The total cost of the program is $3.8m, with own funds of Healthline comprising $1mn.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved a $2.8mn loan for Healthline LLC (Uzbekistan). Funds will be used to purchase a third production line for the production of disposable medical gloves, EBRD said on November 9.
The total cost of the program is $3.8m, with own funds of Healthline comprising $1mn.
Healthline has been an existing client of the EBRD since November 2019. The initial project involved the establishment of a medical glove production facility with two production lines to which the EBRD provided debt financing of $9.2mn.
The organization plans to expand production line as demand for PPE has been surging amid the pandemic.
