First international forum on labor migration began in Tashkent

The first international forum on labor migration started today at the International Hotel Tashkent in Tashkent.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan, the Foreign Labor Migration Agency, about 20 international organizations, about 100 employers with foreign potential, international experts and media representatives participated in this event. Information is being provided about the work being carried out in connection with the protection of interests.

The migration policy based on current and future market requirements, the system of improving the skills of Uzbek labor migrants, and the management system designed to regulate organized labor migration, as well as the issues of attracting potential employers from different countries to cooperation, are being discussed.It was reported at the forum that over the last three years, by expanding the geography of migration, the weight of attracting our compatriots who want to work abroad to work in the developed countries of the world has increased. In this direction, as a result of constant negotiations with competent foreign state organizations and potential employers, today cooperation agreements have been signed with about 480 organizations of more than 30 countries, and citizens of Uzbekistan are sent to work abroad in an organized manner.
The Foreign Labor Migration Agency operates on the basis of more than 15 laws of Uzbekistan, decisions and orders of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers, and other documents. For example, the President's decision "On measures to introduce a system of safe, orderly and legal labor migration" is important in this regard.

In particular, as a result of the introduction of a safe, orderly and legal labor migration system in 2021-2022, citizens going abroad for temporary work will be trained in 17 Ishga Merhamat monocenters and more than 150 professions across the republic. to get theoretical and practical experience by teaching about 30 professions and about 10 foreign languages in the center, to send citizens abroad in an organized and legal manner, to protect the rights and legal interests of labor migrants in cooperation with the Foundation for the Support of Citizens Working Abroad practical results were achieved in terms of protection.

The "Entrepreneurial Migrant" project was developed in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to create opportunities for labor migrants returning from abroad, that is, their reintegration, as well as to provide financial assistance and support to the families of labor migrants. practical works are being carried out. For this purpose, information and consulting services are provided by the "Labor Migration" software complex, "Call-center", regional branches of the Agency and representative offices in the Russian Federation, South Korea, Kazakhstan and Turkey, currently serving our compatriots.
