Ministry of Finance and IFC discuss modernization of Syrdarya Thermal Power Plant
This project is planned to be implemented in two stages. In the first, the issue of construction of a CCGT unit with a capacity of 1.3 GW will be studied. The total capacity of the TPP is 2.6 GW.
The Agency for the development of public-private partnership under the Ministry of Finance held a meeting with representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which discussed the modernization of the Syrdarya TPP.
This project is planned to be implemented in two stages. In the first, the issue of construction of a CCGT unit with a capacity of 1.3 GW will be studied. The total capacity of the TPP is 2.6 GW.
The Agency offered to start a tender for the project before the end of the year. The IFC approved this possibility, subject to the provision of all necessary information.
