Uzbekistan exports $14mn worth pomegranate YTD
22% of the total amount of fruit was exported to Kazakhstan, 21% to Russia and 11% to Tajikistan.
Uzbekistan exported $14mn worth pomegranate since the beginning of the year, the state customs committee said on November 14.
"Over the past 10 months, Uzbekistan exported 12,682 tons of pomegranate for a total of $14,3mn," the committee said.
22% of the total amount of fruit was exported to Kazakhstan, 21% to Russia and 11% to Tajikistan.
The export of pomegranate to Belarus increased by 4.4 times, and to Ukraine - by twice.
The list of importers now also includes Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
