Germany hosts classic football tournament “Davra Cup 2024”
"Davra" Uzbek-German cultural and sports society organized the "Davra Cup 2024" football tournament with the support of Uzbek Embassy in Germany. Uzbeks living in Germany participated in the event.
The "Davra Cup" football tournament has been held regularly since 2013, and this year marks its eleventh edition. It has become a cherished tradition for Uzbeks to gather annually, meet each other, and engage in friendly matches on the football field. The tournament is organized in different cities each year, considering the preferences of participants.
The tournament's primary objective is to unite Uzbeks living abroad. Twenty teams, representing different states, participated in the football tournament. FC München, a seven-time champion, once again claimed the top prize. In addition to trophies and medals, winning teams received diplomas and souvenirs, along with awards for best player, top scorer, and goalkeeper.
At the end of the football tournament, a traditional Uzbek national table was arranged for all participants and fans. The event provided Uzbek students with a chance to spend their leisure time productively and enjoyably, while also receiving answers to consular, legal, and civil inquiries from embassy diplomats.
