It was denied that Iran's military drones are being assembled in Uzbekistan

Today, the video conversation between former Russian billionaire Leonid Nevzlin and Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon is causing wide discussion in many Internet publications of Uzbekistan. In it, they said that military drones are being assembled at a factory in Uzbekistan in cooperation with Iran and that they will be delivered to Russia, which is attacking Ukraine:
"Iranian military drones are assembled at military factories in Iraq and Uzbekistan before they are delivered to Russia. Now they are trying to deliver surface-to-surface missiles or are already delivering them. This is a special news.
Recently, two soldiers of the Iranian army - a colonel and a general - were killed. It is said that they were responsible for the production of drones in Iran. Such things do not happen by chance," said Nevzlin.
The State Committee of the Defense Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan categorically denies the reports circulated in the mass media that Uzbekistan is a production (assembly) site for Iranian combat drones used in military operations in Ukraine. did
At the same time, it is worth noting that Uzbekistan has never produced weapons and military equipment in cooperation with Iran and is not producing them now.
It should be noted that in September of this year, an offer was made to assemble Iranian drones in Navoi. But these were not combat weapons, just agricultural drones that carried out fertilization and defoliation work.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan regarding this incident, it was announced that Uzbekistan does not cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the military-technical sphere and does not collect Iranian military equipment on its territory.
At the same time, until now, neither Ukraine nor other foreign partners have received official appeals regarding the issue of "Collection of Iranian drones".
"In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan appeals to the official government of Ukraine to take appropriate measures to prevent the dissemination of such baseless accusations and other unreliable information about Uzbekistan in the Ukrainian mass media, which may harm bilateral relations," the statement of the ministry reads.
Alisher Kadyrov, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, said on the Telegram channel that such information should not be ignored and that Uzbekistan does not support Russian aggression in any way.
"This baseless and irresponsible announcement should not be ignored.
Our citizens and the whole world have understood very well that Uzbekistan does not support Russian aggression in any form, its neutral position that supports negotiations and territorial integrity. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense should officially reject this slander and force Gordon to apologize," said the deputy.
