Sardor Umurzakov appointed head of Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan
Umurzakov Sardor Uktamovich has been appointed head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of state.
In connection with the appointment, Sardor Umurzakov was relieved of the post of Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade.
The previous head of the Presidential Administration, Zainilobiddin Shakhobbidinovich Nizomiddinov, was dismissed from his post on July 8. He was later elected First Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions.
Biography of Sardor Umurzakov
Sardor Umurzakov was born in Tashkent on November 23, 1977. In the period from 1994 to 1998, he graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics at the Faculty of International Finance and Banking. From 1998-1999 after receiving a bachelor's degree, he studied at the University of Reading (UK), where he received a master's degree in banking.
2000-2003 - began his career at the National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a specialist in the 2nd category. Sometime later, he became a 1st category specialist, then a leading specialist, and later, head of the investment management department. In 2003, he was appointed Deputy Governor of the Samarkand Department of the National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From 2004 to 2007 he lived in London, holding the position of a senior banker in the business group of financial institutions at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. After returning from the UK, from 2007 to 2013. held senior positions in the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From 2014 to 2017 - Advisor to the Chairman of the Association "Uzbekcharmpoyabzali". Then (2017-2018) he worked as Deputy Chairman of the Board in the same Association. After, from 2018-2019. worked as chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat Association, created by reorganizing the Uzbekcharmpoyabzali Association.
On January 28, 2019, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sardor Umurzakov was appointed Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On March 10, 2020, by the Decree of the President, Sardor Umurzakov was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Also, since January 2019, he has been Chairman of the Council on Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation of Foreign Trade and Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission for WTO Accession.
