"The zone belongs to the state-owned enterprise of railways. No one lives there, and it has not been handed over to anyone. This is a public place. What does the president have to do with it?" — Mirziyoyev said answering the question of journalist Aziza Kurbanova.
"If the President goes there, it will be with some high-ranking person, cooperation with whom can benefit Uzbekistan," he added.
"Why don't you say: we walk with the president, you also come and try to walk with him at least once," the head of state joked.
"And then, how many times in five years has the president rested? Why don't you ask such a question?" — said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Uzbekistan Raiwlays earlier confirmed that it manages Shovvozsoy.
The recreation zone provides high-quality services to almost 90 thousand railway workers and the population.
