Shavkat Mirziyoyev: We consider Afghanistan as an integral part of Central Asia
“We consider Afghanistan as an integral part of Central Asia. The Tashkent high-level conference on Afghanistan held in March 2018 marked a new stage in mobilizing the efforts of the international community to resolve the Afghan problem. We fully support the peace talks between the political forces of Afghanistan that began in Doha in September this year. We hope that these talks will contribute to the establishment of peace and stability in the long-suffering land of Afghanistan”, - Mirziyoyev said.
Another issue that was raised by President Mirziyoyev as part of his address to the UN General Assembly was Afghanistan.

As part of measures to involve Afghanistan in regional economic integration processes, Mirziyoyev has noted the initiation of major infrastructure projects such as the construction of the Surkhan – Puli-Khumri power transmission line and the railway from Mazar-I-Sharif to the ports of the Indian ocean.
“We are convinced that the establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan should remain the focus of the United Nations”,- Mirziyoyev said.
