Uzbekistan and Russia Strengthen Cooperation and Address Key Issues
Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russia's President Vladimir Putin held a media briefing following their negotiations.

A key topic was providing social guarantees for Uzbek migrants working in Russia. Additionally, they highlighted the growing interest of Russian tourists in Uzbekistan, with a 20% increase in visitors this year.
The two countries agreed to organize cultural, art, and literary events in 2024-2025 and stressed the importance of expanding relations in culture, education, and healthcare.
Both Presidents addressed the need to combat traditional and new threats like terrorism, extremism, organized crime, and drug trafficking.
