Uzbekistan cooperates with Kazakhstan on environmental protection
The Minister of Natural Resources of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov, and the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zulfiya Suleimenova held a meeting.
The two sides discussed the issues of environmental monitoring, protection of biodiversity and natural areas, mitigating the consequences of climate change, solid household waste management, increasing personnel capacity, and cooperation in scientific and technical fields.
“Environmental protection is one of the most pressing issues today,” said Aziz Abdukhakimov.
At the end of the meeting, the Global Action on Desertification (UNCCD CRIC-21) of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the 14th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP- 14) were invited to the 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
