A new unified complex of Republican specialized oncology and radiology scientific-practical medical center is being built

A new unified complex of the Republican specialized oncology and radiology scientific-practical medical center is being built on the street of Doctors in Almazor district of Tashkent city. This building is expected to be commissioned in May 2023.
The new complex includes:
- Republican Scientific and Applied Medical Center of Specialized Oncology and Radiology (383 Farobi St., Tashkent);
- the capital branch of the center (Tashkent district, Bogistan street, 1/71);
 - includes the Tashkent region branch of the center (Tashkent district, Takhtapul gate street, 341).
Free medical services are provided here for citizens of Tashkent city and region without a medical referral, and for patients from other regions based on a referral.
The building consists of 8 floors, inpatient - 650 beds, day inpatient - 100 beds and polyclinic - 500 patients.
17 new clinical departments will be launched there. In particular, a bone marrow transplant department will be opened for the first time in Uzbekistan.
80 million dollars are allocated to equip the oncology system, including this complex, with modern technologies.
The center has 16 resuscitation and operating rooms equipped with the latest technologies.
The intensive care unit will have functional beds with consoles equipped with heart monitors, ventilators and more.
Also, 5 oncology departments operating in different medical institutions will unite and become a single methodical center. For the first time, the chair of nuclear medicine will be established.
A radiotherapy arsenal consisting of 9 bunkers will be launched in the complex. Even if there is a break in one of them, the continuity of the treatment is ensured as a result of the others filling its place.
A new system of preparation and delivery of medicines for patients is put into practice.
Before the establishment, 100 specialists will be trained in the Republic of Korea and Turkey. A modern management system will be introduced into the management process based on the recommendations and experience of Turkish and Korean experts.
In addition, the old areas of the hospitals will be put up for online auction through the electronic trading platform "E-auction" to cover the costs of the construction of the new complex.
After the new complex is put into operation, the patients and the necessary equipment will be moved from the institutions for two months. The entrepreneur who won the sales auction is obliged not to carry out any construction work here for two months until the move to the new complex is completed.
