The President signed the law "On Electronic Digital Signature". Relations in the field of the use of electronic digital signatures are regulated by law.
It was recognized that the electronic digital signature (ERI) and the handwritten signature have the same importance.
The Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications Development was designated as the competent state body in the field of ERI use.
Relations between the ERI key registration centre and individuals in the field of ERI use are carried out on the basis of a contract.
Also, issuing an ERI key or registering its certificate should not exceed one business day.
Persons with an ERI key will be able to freely use all types of public services that require the presence of an ERI.
Individuals and legal entities can have several ERI keys. Certificate registration of each ERI key is carried out separately according to the established procedure.
The validity period of the ERI key certificate shall not exceed 24 months from the date of registration. In this case, the period of validity of ERI can be extended no more than two times.
Citizens of Uzbekistan abroad, as well as foreign individuals and legal entities, as well as stateless persons, can receive ERI through consular institutions, as well as consular departments of diplomatic missions.
The law will enter into force three months after its official publication.
