Israeli LR Group plans to invest in Uzbek agriculture

Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Israel Said Rustamov met with CEO of a large engineering company LR Group, Ami Lustig.

LR Group specializes in the development, financing, construction of large-scale integrated projects and their management in such areas as agriculture, medicine, energy, infrastructure construction.

The parties discussed the participation of the Israeli company in the implementation of a number of socially significant projects in Uzbekistan, in particular in the fields of medicine and agriculture with the involvement of Israeli experience and know-how.

One of these projects is the construction of a diagnostic center and cancer clinic in the Republic with advanced technological equipment and highly qualified personnel from among the specialists of leading medical institutions in Israel and domestic medical personnel trained under a specially developed program. There was also an interest in the establishment of a nephrological center for the diagnosis and treatment of kidney diseases in Uzbekistan.

Taking into account the leading positions of Israel in highly productive dairy farming, as well as the similarity of climatic features of our countries, the possibility of creating a high-tech dairy complex in Uzbekistan was considered. To implement these and other promising projects, LR Group proposed to attract financing from international financial and credit institutions, as well as to create a trilateral Investment Fund with the Uzbek side jointly with its Austrian partner Agrotec.
