President inspects construction of Islamic Civilization Center
The head of state got acquainted with the progress of construction, made recommendations on the external appearance and interior decoration of the building, the color design of the dome.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid the symbolic first stone in the foundation of the Islamic Civilization Center in June last year. Over the past since then, large-scale creative work has been carried out here. The underground level and the walls of the building have been built, currently the installation of roofing structures is being carried out.
The complex, which occupies almost 10 hectares, is intended to become a major scientific and educational center. The basement of the building is reserved for a Museum warehouse and premises for the restoration of ancient manuscripts and antiquities. On the ground floor there will be a library, a conference hall, exhibition halls dedicated to the great contribution of our ancestors to the development of science, as well as the traditions of national architecture. The central foyer will be decorated with the Koran of Usman. On the second floor there will be an information resource center, scientific departments and other facilities.
